YP2F HQ Membership Agreements

I understand that YP2F HQ is on the second floor with access via a staircase and I will communicate any accessibility needs I have to YP2F staff so the space can be prepared to support me.

Acknowledgment: I understand common spaces are open for pop-in use, but reservation-only spaces (the West Space, Wellness Space and the Podcast Studio) require booking and staff approval. 

I will report safety hazards to staff, keep walkways and emergency exits clear, use equipment properly and safely, and ask for help if I am unsure how to use something.

I will not smoke or vape anywhere on the premises (tobacco, vaping, or cannabis).

 I understand that YP2F HQ is a professional setting, and I will treat alcohol the way I would in an office. It can be normal to occasionally have a drink after hours in a social context, in moderation. Alcohol at events is governed by the event host guidelines. 

I will not come to the space under the influence to the point of being disruptive or unsafe. 

I understand that minors may be present at YP2F, so I will not serve alcohol to anyone underage and will not leave alcohol in the shared fridge.

I will not engage in harassment, bullying, or threatening behavior (in person, written, or virtual).

I will respect people's boundaries and consent, and be mindful of other people's belongings.

I will honor confidentiality and community care: keep what is shared personally in community, ask before sharing photos or information about others, and look out for the people around me.

I will do my best to keep our community safe without relying on police or other carceral systems, turning first to de-escalation and transformative justice tools and to staff for support. 

I understand that contacting law enforcement is an absolute last resort, reserved for escalated emergencies where someone's safety is at immediate risk and all other options have been exhausted.

I understand that YP2F does not allow law enforcement, ICE, or other officers into the space without proper legal documentation. If officers arrive, I will not let them in. I will ask them to wait outside, speak with them outside where possible, and notify YP2F staff immediately.

I understand that only a valid judicial warrant signed by a judge authorizes entry, and that an administrative or ICE warrant does not.

No restrictions (YP2F may include me in photos/video of the space with consent)

I understand that by being a member I represent YP2F in the community. 

In the immediate surrounding blocks around YP2F I will manage noise and respect shared spaces.

I will not block driveways or private parking, and be courteous to the people around the building.

I AGREE: To the fullest extent permitted by law, Member agrees to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless YP2F, its officers, directors, employees, volunteers, and agents from and against any and all claims, damages, losses, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorney's fees) arising out of or resulting from: any bodily injury or property damage arising from Member's use of the space; any act or omission of Member or Member's guests; any violation of applicable laws, regulations, or ordinances by Member or Member's guests; and any breach of the terms of this agreement by Member.

I AGREE: YP2F is not responsible for any loss, theft, damage, or injury to persons or property occurring before, during, or after Member's use of the space. YP2F is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

Member voluntarily assumes all risks associated with accessing and using YP2F HQ, including but not limited to risks related to the second-floor stair access, the space, and the equipment. Member accepts full responsibility for their own safety and conduct and that of any guest they bring.

I understand YP2F's personal property policy. '

I understand that I am financially responsible for any damage to the space, equipment, furniture, or building caused by myself or my guests. YP2F may bill Member for repair or replacement costs.

I agree to comply with all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations, and with YP2F's house rules, including capacity limits for reservation-only spaces, the City of Los Angeles noise ordinance, and the prohibition on illegal activity in the space.

I agree that this agreement is governed by California law and that any disputes will first be addressed through good-faith negotiation and, if necessary, binding mediation in Los Angeles County.

I understand that YP2F may suspend or revoke my access in accordance with the Community Agreements accountability process, and that serious violations may result in immediate and permanent loss of access.

I understand that this form and the Community Agreements together are the complete agreement for my access, and that any modifications must be formally notified to all signers via email.
